SCUG

Information for Hosts

Stem Cell User Groups require a host centre. This is generally a hospital venue, however industry sites, conference centres and hotels are also welcome options.

Each SCUG meeting is held by a volunteer host. The Stem Cell User Group has held meetings throughout the UK and Ireland, with The Society for Low Temperature Biology (SLTGB) in Seville in 2019 and a meeting in Cologne as a forthcoming event. Sixty to one hundred delegates and industry representatives attend each meeting and this meeting has a growing membership.

Hosting responsibilities include:

  • Provision of a venue of a suitable size for 60-100 guests with space to include 6-10 stands.
  • Refreshments and lunch for the meeting day.
  • Speakers for 2-3 slots of the meeting to showcase the host centre.
  • Meeting badges and registration table.
